We warmly welcome new players. We are currently looking to recruit violin, viola and bass players who play at grade 6 standard or above to meet the challenge of our repertoire.

The orchestra rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 to 21:30 (with a short refreshment break) in The Marlburian at Marlborough College. There is parking nearby.
Membership is £30 per term, payable by cheque or bank transfer at the start of each term. The orchestra sometimes meets during half term breaks but not over the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
We are a friendly orchestra that draws people of different ages and with varying levels of playing experience. We offer a supportive environment which is ideal for anyone who hasn’t played in an orchestra before or who wants to brush up their skills.
The concert programmes are a mix of major symphonic works by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Brahms, Beethoven and Rachmaninov and lighter pieces such as songs from the shows, Christmas music and film scores. The orchestra has performed concertos with professional local players and international young soloists and given audiences the chance to hear some lesser known works.
